Imaginative Minds Demo & Other Updates (Donovan's Week 18 Update)

Happy New Year to everyone! I'm sorry I couldn't create this blog during the countdown to 1 January as our blogs are usually written every Friday and the countdown falls on Wednesday. But regardless, I wish everyone to have a fruitful 2020! The progress we've accomplished is quite steady so far. I just recently completed the demo of our visual novel which can be played during NP Open House 2020. Just simply visit us at the ICT Block and we'll be there to give you the experience! Changing the expressions from the default characters to our own assets was surprisingly tedious. There is no feature to change all expressions at once so I had to do it manually.

Oh boy! Manually doing it took ages! One scene can take me up to 1-3hours just to change all the expressions into our own assets and that's not even counting the test I go through to see if the expressions fit with our dialogues. (I think polishing the visual novel would take longer since not only am I replacing the assets of the other chapters, but I'll also be replacing music and doing proofreading. RIP me lol.)

With the Demo completed, I can now focus all my energy onto Chapter 5 and the endings. I don't think they should be a problem and I can definitely finish it by next week. Once again, thank you for tuning in and I'll see you at the next blog post!
